Woma puthons generally eat small mammals, ground birds, and lizards.
By day they shelter in hollow logs and burrows, which they sometimes enlarge by using their heads as a shovel.
Woma pythons are a non-venomous snake that are sometimes mistaken for being venomous, as unlike the diamond shaped head of most pythons they have a narrow, pointed head. Womas are known to reach lengths of up to 3meters and have a very narrow pointed tail, which is used as a lure, wriggling it independent of the rest of its body to attract prey. Being a python and having no venom, Womas kill their prey by coiling their body around and constricting, but sometimes squash their prey against the walls of their burrow.
