Maintenance
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and versatile Maintenance person to ensure our park is well-maintained to a high standard of safety and presentation.
Our ideal "Handyman" will have a strong background in general upkeep, repair work, building and construction projects, being able to put their hand to most odd-jobs, both big and small.
Every day will bring new challenges and tasks, from routine maintenance to unexpected odd-jobs. No two days will be the same!

Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- maintenance and repair work, such as painting, installing windows, fencing, etc
- building and construction projects, such as brick-laying, cement-laying, welding, carpentry, etc
- minor plumbing and electrical
- exhibit/enclosure/aviary design, build, install and display
- collaborating with gardeners and various contractors
The following skills are desirable, but not a deal-breaker:
- gardening and landscaping
- basic understanding of reticulation
- basic understanding of pond/pool filtration systems
And we will be seeking this long but important list of skills and attributes:
- obtain a current forklift license
- obtain a current manual driver's license
- comply with safety regulations
- good communication skills
- basic math and English (reading, writing, speaking)
- strong time management abilities
- ability to work autonomously
- commitment to prioritize workplace health and safety
- operate and maintain a variety of equipment, tools and machinery
- ability to trouble-shoot and problem-solve
- be resourceful and 'think outside the box' when necessary
- maintain a clean and tidy workplace
- management of stock, supplies and storage areas
- physically strong, fit and healthy
- understand the importance of customer service and cultural awareness
- attention to detail and diligence
- integrity and a solid work ethic
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
